Viessmann

I was introduced to Viessmann Manufacturing in 1995.

Viessmann is a 90 year old, family owned, German heating boiler manufacturer.

A local heating distributor invited me to a seminar featuring Richard Trethewey, the heating and plumbing expert from the TV series This Old House.

I immediately rejected the idea of attending.

I thought there was no way a TV guy was going to tell me something I didn’t already know.

I don’t know what compelled me but at the last minute I decided to go.

Trethewey was talking about some of the things he was doing for his clients in the Boston, MA area to help them with high energy bills and other heating issues.

It was then I realized this guy really does know what he is talking about.

After he was finished with his presentation he introduced a vice-president of Viessmann who talked about the Viessmann approach to technology.

There was a Viessmann boiler on display that was unlike any that I was familiar with.

After the seminar I had a conversation with Richard.

He told me he was a representative for Viessmann and had been trained by them since the mid 1980s and also indicated to me the Germans were way ahead of the U.S. in hot water heating technology.

He invited me to the Viessmann facility in Rhode Island to see and hear what they are about.

A month later I took him up on his offer.

It didn’t take me long to realize I wanted to be part of this approach.

I also found out how much I didn’t know about heating boilers and heating with hot water.

I made the decision I would center my entire business around this great company.

I believe this to be the best business decision I’ve made.

Viessmann is considered to be a world leader in innovative, high quality heating technology.

Two words that come to mind about the company: excellence and responsible.

They really do produce the best boilers you can find.

They’ve won numerous environmental awards in Europe for their production methods and technology.

This is no small feat in Europe.

Viessmann was a green company long before it became fashionable.

My company has installed many Viessmann products over the years with great results.

A testament to their quality shows up when the outdoor temperatures hover around 10 below 0 in my area of upstate New York is when I talk to other heating companies, they say they can’t keep up with all the service calls during these cold snaps.

Our phone rarely rings for service problems and our clients are warm and happy.

Because they are a privately-held company and are not beholden to stockholders, they believe in investing their profits into research and development and tight quality control.

I like to tell my clients and prospects that the research and development is done in their factory, not your home!

I had the opportunity to go to Germany for a week as their guest for a week and saw why they are the leader in their industry.

Everything about this company is first-class.

Every time I go to Viessmann for an event or training I’m reminded that I made the right decision to partner with this company.

To me, Viessmann IS THE BEST heating technology company.

I don’t say this because I sell their products.

IT'S THE REASON I sell their products.
