Boiler choice NEW
by: Anonymous

I chose a System 2000. The system does not need a buffer tank for conventional radiation, only radiant, and that's for higher efficiency. I haven't found in the 12 years I've had it that the number of burner cycles is excessive.

It's so quiet when it runs I actually have to look at the control lights to be certain it is indeed running.

I also like the fact that it's made in the USA. Although my forebears were German, I'd rather support our domestic economy, from the folks who make the steel, right on to the company that puts it all together.

Buderus vs System 2000 NEW
by: Anonymous

If I had to decide between the Buderus and System 200, I would choose Buderus.

Why?

I like German technology.

The System 200 will cycle on and off more often unless you install a buffer tank with it which adds to the expense and takes up more room.
