When people get their first look at this boiler they find it hard to believe something so small can heat their house.

Some of our clients appreciate the added bonus of extra floor space the have after their new Viessmann boiler is installed.

It’s only 27 ½” High x 15 ¾” Wide x 13 ½” deep, weighs 95 lbs. and hangs on the wall.

The venting system does not need a chimney. It exits through the wall or roof.

Unlike some high efficiency boilers that use aluminum for the heat exchanger portion of ther boiler, Viessmann uses high grade stainless steel (316 Ti) and offers a limited lifetime warranty.

If green, environmentally products are important to you, you’ll be hard pressed to find a boiler manufacturer that can meet the standards of Viessmann.

How to Maximize Your Investment

If you are serious about investing in the Viessmann 100 boiler there are a few things worth considering to get the full efficiency and benefits of a high efficiency gas boiler.

• Insist that the Viessmann dealer install a control box that has a weather responsive control that can modulate the burner. We call this cruise control for heating systems.
• Replace your expansion tank, circulator, pressure reducing valve and thermostat.
• Install isolation (shut-off) valves on all replaceable parts (follow local codes).
• If you have multiple zones don’t use multiple circulators, use zone valves instead. Multiple circulators will only increase your electric bill.

It costs a lot less in the long run to do these things when the system is apart rather than gamble and replace one at a time.

The installed price of a Vitodens 100, using the above recommendations is in the $7,000 range.

This is a fair price for high quality, peace of mind and lower energy bills.
