We call this cruise control for heating systems.
Replace your expansion tank, circulator, pressure reducing valve and thermostat. Install isolation (shut-off) valves on all replaceable parts (follow local codes). If you have multiple zones don’t use multiple circulators, use zone valves instead. Multiple circulators will only increase your electric bill.It costs a lot less in the long run to do these things when the system is apart rather than gamble and replace one at a time. The installed price of a Vitodens 100, using the above recommendations is in the $7,000 range. This is a fair price for high quality, peace of mind and lower energy bills.
